Meghan Markle used to love watching Real Housewives but stopped when life got 'dramatic'

Meghan Markle revealed she used to love watching the Real Housewives franchise.

However, the Duchess of Sussex stopped watching the Bravo series when her life had 'its own level of drama'.

Presenter Andy Cohen stopped by for a chat on her Archetypes podcast and the two talked all things reality television.

Real Housewives of Orange County used to be her favourite as it felt closest to her life as a Californian native. It also felt 'foreign' at the same time.

Andy made a joke about the rumours made about Meghan making an appearance on the Beverly Hills version of the show after she and her husband Prince Harry moved to Los Angeles.

She has no plans of appearing on reality tv.

"I was so eager to be on your show because I was such a Housewives fan at the time and I just couldn't get booked Andy," she told the show's host.

Andy then questioned: "I guess the million dollar question is, do you still watch the Housewives? This is what we've been dying to know."

Meghan replied honestly: "Well, I will tell you the truth. I stopped watching the Housewives when my life had its own level of drama.

"That I stopped..." she said before Andy finished her thought, adding: "craving other people's."

"I get why it was such a huge huge part of pop culture and when it began because you began with Orange County and I'm from California, at least," Meghan explained.

"'It felt remotely like a world that I knew but still felt so foreign."

Meanwhile, Meghan and Prince Harry's new documentary is set to air on Netflix in December this year.
