The Osun State House of Assembly, on Thursday, expressed dismay over the poor quality of the job being done on the Ilesa water project. The Assembly subsequently summoned the consultant and the contractor and the Ministry of Water Resources to appear before the lawmakers. A statement by the Press Secretary to the Speaker, Kunle Alabi, obtained in Osogbo, said while speaking at the plenary, the Speaker, Timothy Owoeye, warned those summoned against disregarding the invite. Owoeye said the Assembly would not fail to order their arrest, should any of the affected persons fail to comply with the summons He stated that the Ilesa water project had gulped so much money, with little work to show for the amount already expended.
