Design is a process, a system of thinking --- GAVIN AMBROSE
Design is an iterate, a series of processes that
requires critical thinking and planning. Thinking outside the box. The act of
creating a substantial quality change such as redesigning of a visual design,
or a repackaging in design requires the following 7 steps:
1) Define (Brief): This stage determines what
is necessary for the projects to be successful
2) Research (Background): This reviews information
such as the history of the design problem, end-user research and opinion-led
interviews and identifies potential obstacles
3) Ideate (Solution): This is the stage where end-user
motivation and needs are identified and ideas are generated to meet these
perhaps through brainstorming
4) Prototype (Resolve): It involves working towards
the ideas that have be presented
5) Selection (Rationale): It sees the proposed
solutions reviewed against the design brief objectives.
6) Implementation (Delivery): It sees design
development and its finale delivery to the clients
7) Learning (Feedback): Through the feedback given
y the clients and targeted audience, the designer improves.
