Soldiers kill four terrorists, recover arms in Kaduna

 Troops of operation Forest Sanity have killed no fewer than four terrorists at different locations in Kaduna State.

The troops were said to have received a distress call after terrorists attacked Rafin Sarki village on Sunday and Monday in Giwa Local Government Area, where they engaged them in a gun duel.

A statement on Tuesday by the Director, Defence Media Operations, Defence Headquarters, Major General Musa Danmadami, said two were killed in the encounter.

He also said two terrorists were killed in another operation on Tuesday.

The statement read, “Troops of Operation Forest Sanity on January 1 and 2, 2023 received a distress call of bandit attack at Rafin Sarki village in Giwa Local Government Area, Kaduna State. Troops responded swiftly and engaged the terrorist in a firefight. Troops neutralized two terrorists and recovered one  AK 47 rifle.

“Equally, on January 3, 2023, troops carried out an ambush operation at Rafin Taba village, Giwa Local Government Area, Kaduna State, and made contact with terrorists. Troops engaged terrorists and neutralized two terrorists. Troops also recovered two  AK 47 rifles, four AK 47 magazines, 51,  7.62mm special ammunition, five mobile phones, one cutlass, two motorcycles, and a sum of N206,000.”

He, however, urged the general public to avail troops of credible and timely information on criminal activities.
