 Abuja Body Of Comedians Concludes Investiture Of Onome Da Saint With Award Ceremony


The umbrella body of comedians in the FCT, Abuja Body of Comedians (ABC) has concluded investiture of its 3rd president, Onome Ohwodo popularly called Onome Da Saint with an award ceremony in Abuja.

The event attracted notable individuals from the entertainment industry, business and political world.

Top political office holders from the executive and legislative arms of government were also present at Sheraton Hotels Abuja the venue of the event.

Outstanding partners in the entertainment industry were also honoured with awards of recognition.

The event was part of the renewed vigour of the new leadership of the ABC to relaunch to limelight after it experienced some hitches arising from leadership squabble.

After several tussles, Mr Onome Ohwodo the host of Popular comedy show ' Laff It Off With Onome Da Saint, and a popular radio host, Amb. Wahala were elected President, VP at an election that took place at TSC event center, Area 3 Garki.

Onome Da Saint emerged victorious when he polled a total number of 47 votes to trounce his closet opponent who parted with 19 votes.

Amb. Wahala polled 41 to floor other contestants who polled 16 and 7 respectively.

They were announced winners by the chairman of the electoral committee and popular Abuja presenter, Benjamin Ubiri

The election which adjudged peaceful and orderly returned all other executive members unopposed apart from President and his Vice.
